He met it in England, in Malvern, when saw his future wife Agnieszka.
She took him to Kraków , where they have lived for seven years, now.
He became the honor director of Krakow's Philharmony, and did some records with Polish Chamber Orchestra.
In 2003 he also recorded a new CD with polish klezmer band from Kazimierz - Kroke.
The name of a record is 'East meets East' and still is on the bestsellers list with its main hit 'Ajde Jano'.

Here is the spot that brings a bit of the mistery of Old Kazimierz.
[ the correct title of the album is East meets East. ]

Probably the biggest 'Singer' sewing machines collection in the world - at 'Singer' cafe

A young woman shook her head, and gave another look at the shop's window.
Behind of a glass stood the object of her whispers -
the brand new Singer Manufacturing Company product - the sewing machine.
Well, that was the beginning of 20th century, and the machine would help her to get more clients, as she was a talented tailor, but
using only few old needles.
Without a sight she turned back into the dark, as alway carrying some repaired clothes to her friends.
-You will be mine- the echo of whispered words followed her steps.

And after some time, she managed to save small fortune, and guess what - she spend it on the newest 'Singer'.

Years were passing, and when finally the axis broke, and she bought another one, she put it into the corner of the room.
Next one was even better, but it broke even faster, she had so much work.
Soon another machine started to work , so many clients forced her to employ the other woman, and moved old machines upstairs.

After World War II her collection of 'Singer' sewing machines became the biggest and the most recognized in Europe.
But the old lady didn't want to sell any of her old machines, she kept all of them as each one reminded her of some period of her past.
Finally in her last will she gave the full collection of priceless items to her grandson, under the condition that he would never sell them, but make something useful.

And so he did.

He opened the cafe and changed all the sewing machines into the bar tables, when now you can drink and chat surrounded by old 'Singer's.
O.K. I've made up the story, but hey, have look by yourself - on 22 Estery Street is the place of 'Singer' one of the oldest cafe's in Kazimierz.
During the summer the tables are also outside of the building, giving the passers by the possibility to glance at the old 'Singers' and other brands of the authentic
old sewing machines. The owner blocked the spinning wheels, but still you can drink a beer , or something better while sitting at the sewing machine.
